Sawadee Ka (Hello) from Thailand,

We have settled back in Roi Et and have been with getting to know students better and helping them with their conversational English skills.  We are using a dialogue teaching method where the students participate in role play, using scripts in English.  These pictures are students ordering pizza from a restaurant.  The students did a great job and seemed to enjoy learning new English phrases.

Sunday morning in Banon

Sunday mornings at Banon we are helping teach English after the worship time.  Kat, the Thai teammate has been teaching from the Old Testament with stories about Abraham.  Patdy, another Thai teammate has be leading with worship songs. Last week there were over 60 students present!

English Club

English Club on Tuesdays at our Home

On Tuesdays students come to our home after school for a time to practice their English conversation and hang out with us.  It has been a huge blessing getting to know them better and also having the opportunity to meet their families.  Please pray this group continues to grow and that the students will benefit from their time with us.  We are also going to the park in town and trying to meet students there to practice English.  It is great getting to meet them and talk to them in everyday life situation

Please continue to pray for our ministry here, that we can love students and show them the love of the Father.  We are very blessed with our home here and are also making deeper relationships with our neighbors.  They are very generous and loving to us, bringing us fruit and helping us out in anyway they can.  The language is a barrier, but it is helping us learn Thai!  We plan to have a cookout when our friends from the US visit next month.

We appreciate your love and support for us and for the Thai people.  Please continue to lift up prayers for all of us.  We have friends from our home church coming over during the month of July.  We hope this will be a great time of cultural exchange and awareness for both them and the Thai people.  Please lift them up for the trip, Gary and Sean Hughes, Lee and Bobby Gettys, and Caroline Spangler.
