Preparing For Departure to Thailand

As we completed our training in Colorado and have returned home to wrap up the last of the "to do" list it makes the departure date of December 3 very real.  While we were finishing up in Colorado almost all of our belongings were being sold on an online auction.  It is strange to not have very much stuff, but it also a little freeing to know that we can do without many of the things we feel we need.

Thank you to all who helped in our immediate cleaning and preparation of our home to make it available for renters. Once that project was complete we had the opportunity to speak at a couple churches.  First, we visited Sidney in Charleston to celebrate his birthday and was able to speak at Aldersgate UMC, North Charleston, where Sidney is the part time youth minister.  We enjoyed our time there meeting many wonderful people and seeing the many great things they have going on.

The following week we were able to speak at Mt Horeb UMC in Lexington, SC.  It was a blessing to share our story at all four of their services during their mission focus Sunday.  We would like to thank everyone there for supporting us and giving us so much encouragement as we prepare to serve in Thailand.  We could see a sense a mission involvement from their local mission projects and meeting other missionaries the church supports.  We look forward to keeping in touch and sharing our journey with the Mt Horeb staff and congregation.

Finally, we need to thank our family and friends for hosting us in their homes, since we do not have one currently.  We have been provided an opportunity to share meals and fellowship with so many over the last couple of weeks.  From our training we learned we need to do goodbyes well.  Thank you to so many who have allowed us to spend a little time with you.  We would love to get with every person we know, but that is just not physically possible.  However, we can stay connected through this blog and email and Skype or FaceTime.  Help us stay in touch.  We have added an option to the blog for you to provide an email address so that when ever we make an update you will get get an email notification.  We will be updating the blog regularly once we are in Thailand.  We also have email (attawaysix@gmail.com) and Facebook (Pam Attaway) as vehicles to help us stay connected.  We love you all and thank you for being a part of our lives.

Please keep praying and we still need some financial support to make it to 100%.  God is faithful and he is using each of you to help in bringing his love and name to Thailand.

May God bless you.

Todd, Pam, Noah and Hannah Grace
